Continuing the discussion from the visit of Redina Kolaneci in November, this session, led by Michelle Farralland Duncan Brown of Capacity Builders, will contain valuable input, useful peer learning, and great networking for those involved in generating revenue for ministry.
SESSION 1 - Identity Crisis
With the plethora of exceptional Christian organisations in Australia - all doing great things for the Kingdom - it's imperative that you know what makes yours distinct. In this session we will explore how to crystallise your organisation's unique identity. Using current examples of Australian Christian not-for-profits, we will discuss how knowing who you are as an organisation and getting that message right will help you stand out from the crowd and attract loyal donors.
SESSION 2 -Cattle Drove Case Study
Get an in depth look at one of Australia's most exciting and creative fundraising events. In 2009, the Stock Up for Hope Charity Drove saw 400 donated cattle on the dusty outback road in Queensland to raise $300,000 for Scripture Union Qld school chaplains. Find out why the event captured the imaginations and commitment of cattle producers, national media, big-name sponsors, community members, mayors and city-slicker corporates. Take away some key principles for fundraising events and how to attract deep levels of community ownership.
SESSION 3 -Open Discussion
An opportunity for participants to ask questions and throw in some tough branding and fundraising challenges to be discussed by the group. This will partly be decided by a pre-event poll of those registered. |
