Community Governance: A Framework for Healthy Christian Organisations provides a fresh approach to the governance of Churches and all types of Christian Organisations.

The book focuses on the Australian developed Community Governance Framework that explores the Why, Who, What and How of running ministry organisations and brings clarity to the roles of Moral Owners, the Board, Staff and Beneficiaries. The book also looks at the importance in any healthy organization of Core Values, Core Purpose and Vision. Apart from the Framework the book also explores a model for strategic planning and outlines the characteristics of an effective board.

The two authors of the book, David Bartlett and Paul Campey, bring a practical easy-to-read approach to an often complex area. Over 25 Christian leaders from around the world read the book at its manuscript stage and believe that Community Governance represents a break-through in a Biblical approach to governance.

Comment:  I thoughly enjoyed reading this book (and was also adequately challenged). I believe it is a must read for ALL board members involved in the Christian school ministry. It definitely brings clarity to the roles of the Moral Owners (and who they are), the Board, Staff and Beneficiaries. A much needed resource for all boards.

Comment:  Governance is certainly a hot topic in churches both here in Australia and oversease. Community Governance provides clear and practical insights into what can otherwise be a minefield. Our church has been helped immensely by the insights provided in this book. I strongly commend it to you.

Comment:  A timely God centered model for kingdom work in a day and age when we can very easily be led astray by the secular heresy. Here are some excellent pointers for 'keeping the main thing the main thing'!

Comment:  Community Governance is both insightful and practical. There are many theories of Governance, however, they don't seem to translate into real actions for Boards and management. Bartlett and Campey have provided a framework that, when applied, strengthens both the individuals involved and the overall organisation.
