The JobKeeper payment subsidy is part of the government's coronavirus economic support package. For eligible entities it is worth up to $19,500 per eligible employee over the next six months, and has become more accessible for charities with the downturn threshold required for JobKeeper eligibility recently reduced from 30% to 15%. There are also important timing factors, notably the end of April, that are important if your organisation wants to maximise the opportunities available.

This webinar will provide an overview of the JobKeeper Payment Subsidy and provide an overview of the various requirements including eligible employer, eligible employee and how to calculate the decline in turnover. The JobKeeper scheme may require significant judgement and careful projections in relation to business activity but it also has record-keeping requirements and very significant penalties can apply. We will also consider the documentation that might be appropriate to support your assessment and how this is communicated with your governance body.
